Let's check out our 100's Day class book pages.
If you could have a hundred of something, what would it be?

She would love to have 100 jelly beans.
(Remember...you can click on the image to enlarge it in order to read the work!)

How about this handsome lad?

He would love 100 packs of gum which he could share with classmates.

How about this young gentleman?

He's hiding...

Let's see the pipelines begin to fill!
All the best,  Mr. Hamer OCT

Day 123 - Tuesday, March 26

The donations are coming in and the money is being counted.

Our class goal is to raise $100.00.
At $40.50, we are almost at the halfway point in the first day of the eight-day sojourn!

We learned that we must line up the decimal point in a perfect column to ensure accuracy.
We also learned that the decimal point separates the dollars from the cents.

Here we are down by the start to the primary division pipeline.

These grade one children are enjoying themselves.

They have already begun placing their stickers on the pipeline.

Lots of stickers...

...brings lots of smiles!

Meanwhile, over at the start of the junior pipeline in the junior wing of the school there is activity as well.

Tons of stickers are making their way down the pipes!

Indeed, as these boys will attest...the water is flowing!

Some great helpers.

This little one is ensuring she lines up her stickers.

We want them to touch gently and not overlap or not leave a space.

Looking good!

While Mr. Hamer was tallying the money, the children enjoyed some free play time.

The chrome books prove popular.

The children love to work anywhere!

Playing school.

Working away.

Lots of smiles.

From a happy classroom!
Have a great evening everyone!
Mr. Hamer OCT

Day 124 - Wednesday, March 27

Our pipelines are filling up with water droplets.

Our OK Clean Water fundraiser is well underway.

Our teacher's assistant for the day.

She has a lot of students.

Some from Mrs. Akkawi's class.

As Mrs. Akkawi's Grade Three students were away on a field trip.

She is a good teacher.

She has the children hard at work.

They work at their desks.

Friends from both classes.

It's fun having guests for the day.

They concentrate on the work at hand.

They are determined to do well on their assignment.

Plenty of good discussion abound.

Great going class!

Thanks for bringing Mr. Hamer a glass of water!

Some of our French lessons.

A peek at some of our work.

February was a fun month.

As you saw earlier, 100's Day was fun back in February!

Our homework for the week.

Yes, we do love our families!
Have a great evening everyone!
Mr. Hamer OCT

Day 125 - Thursday, March 28

Another great day at St. Bernard Catholic School!

Our pipelines continue to fill with water droplets.

Our OK Clean Water fundraiser is meeting with great success.

We catch up with students in the junior division.

They are thrilled to help out such a great cause.

Smiles abound!

Tons of stickers.

Great students.

We are proud of you all.

Ms. Donna, our ELL teacher.

Mr. Hamer's good buddy, Mr. Papineau gives a lot of his time to the pupils in our school.

We catch him in a new club he has organized.

He's teaching Cribbaage.

Crib is such a great game to play.

They are eager listeners.

They have never played before.

They catch on quickly though.

In pairs.

In a trio.

A creative build.

He's a proud builder.

Time for the "Big Crunch!"

Yummy...carrots!

So tasty.

You go girls!

Some fun down time.

Another creative build.

A big smile!

Our class goal for the end of the eight day fundraiser is to reach one hundred dollars.  We are more than halfway there with $62.25 raised by out students alone.  Keep doing those chores, children, so you can earn some more money for a donation!
Have a lovely evening everyone!
Mr. Hamer OCT

Day 126 - Friday, March 29

Friday is always a fun day at school.

The junior division is filling more buckets following the filling of their pipeline.

Mrs. Gillam's class is happy to help out our Lenten Fundraiser.

Two more boys filling the buckets for others.

To think...with all of our donations, we will be helping the people of Kumbo, Cameroon immensely.

More and more will no longer have to carry buckets of water home.

They'll be able to allow the water to run through the pipes to their villages!

Sibling love!

A girl with a cool message.

Yes, we all love our weekends, don't we!

The Genius Club takes place in the learning commons on Friday over lunch tmie.

Some of the members are already fast at work.

Learning new ways to code and to develop games.

The circular rug in the learning commons is beautiful.

We celebrated "Earth Hour" in Block Four.

All lights were turned off and no electronic devices were in use.

The students found some creative way to play.

This reminds me of when I was their age...using furniture to create tunnels.

My twin brother and I also borrowed mom and dad's large blankets to help with the tunnel making.

Earth Hour was up so we headed outdoors early.

The weather was great!

The children are happy because...

...the weekend is near!

A cool cat in a cool cap!

Seems like all of the teachers had the same idea!

Peer appreciation!

Ditto!
Have a great weekend everyone!
