Each student put their own backdrop in the picture.

Day 111 - Friday, March 1

Everything is coming up "ones" with this being Day 111 on March 1.

Our superintendent of schools, Mary Donaghy visited our school.

She, along with our wonderful principal, Mrs. McDonald, presented me with my "30 Year" pin for thirty years teaching in our school board.  This is in fact my 39th year teaching as I taught in the North of Canada for the first eight years of my career...thus my current 39th year.  I'm still loving teaching as much today as I did on my first day in the profession.

I guess you've noticed by now that it is "Jersey Day" at school.

Ms. Spratt and Mr. Hamer are dressed in like colours.
Take note of the name and the number on the back of my jersey.
It used to belong to David Johnston, our former Governor General.  The number 28 indicates that he was the 28th GG of our country.  I'd like to thank our former GG for allowing me to own one of his former sports jerseys.

A big smile from Ms. Spratt.

Ms. Fife is in an Ottawa 67's jersey.

Her jersey commemorates Brian Kilrea's 2000th game coached.  Ms. Fife is related to Brian Kilrea...they are cousins.

Mr. Papineau is an Ottawa Senator for a day.

Mrs. Daley wears one of our school jerseys.

Mrs. Blackmore is in blue.

Three lovely ladies sporting jerseys of fave teams as well.

Mrs. Eaton is in blue.

Mrs. Picard in one of my favourite versions of our Sens uniform.

Mrs. Jackie in a good old Blue Jays baseball jersey.

A good bunch of the staff pose for a group pic.

Our darlings in Grade Two are also in the spirit.

Cool soccer jersey.

A "Sid the Kid" wannabe!

A friend from Mrs. Akawwi's class adorns her father's jersey.

Go Sens Go!

A girl and her guitar.

She's a natural!

We visited Mrs. Eaton's room the day before to learn a couple of songs for our First Reconciliation service.

They are great singers!

Find the hidden pictures!

They found them all.

So did they.

A fun activity.

Looking good.

So well done.

Some chrome book time at the end of the day...

...on a Friday afternoon.

Having fun.

In total concentration.

With friends.

She looks cool with the inverted headphones.

We gather at carpet for a bible story.

We bring our own seats with us.

Very relaxing.

School is so much fun.

As their smiles attest.

Mr. Hamer is thrilled to have a new electric guitar in his collection.
Yes...look carefully.  It is a Hamer guitar...and a great one too!
Have a great rest of your weekend everyone!
